There is color and color everywhere in this festival of colors, Holi in Rishikesh. Yes, the flavor of Holy is in the air and that too at Askhi Yogashala, when its very students converged in its venue to shower the colors of love on each other.
Students’ of Yogashala forgot their yogic sessions and celebrated Holi with full festive flavor. They throw colors and squirt with water guns, also known as pichkaris. Drenched with colors, they all danced to the tune of Hindi traditional Holi songs, ate lots of sweets and entailed themselves in this festivity like a family.
This is a spirit of the festival when people from all over the world shed all their inhibitions and join in celebrations welcoming spring and cherishing the unity and brotherhood. It is also a festival when no boundaries can block the spirit of the people who just wanted to hug each other, be of any religion, or cast he or she belongs to, enjoy and be merry.
Hope you all too must be enjoying and having fun as these spirited youngsters and oldies who though belonging different parts of the world, played Holi with full enthusiasm and spirit.
Holi spreads the love and brotherhood in the universe and is a rebuke of those communities or people who are trying to spread hatred in the world through bloodsheds as no bloodshed or disharmony in the world shall prevail when the love is in the air.
