You can reach Trivandrum International Airport which is 51km from Varkala. The airport is connected to all the major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. It is also connected to different destinations in the Middle East. You can hire a pre-paid taxi from the airport to Varkala.

KSRTC buses run regularly from Thiruvananthapuram. Tourists who are arriving from Kochi can take a bus from Thiruvananthapuram and reach Attingal. From Attingal they will have to board another bus to reach Varkala. Buses journey can be very tedious.

BY RAILWAYS

If you are coming to Delhi, you can get on the train to reach Varkala Railway Station which is only 3 km away from the beach city. Thiruvananthapuram is connected by rail to several Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Taxis can be hired from the railway station to Varkala.
