Ashtanga is series of asanas or poses that are linked with the breathing. Power yoga and Vinyasa techniques in varied forms use Ashtanga as the source to form different poses. These series of asanas or postures, built the internal heat, raises the level of energies and help you attain the state of meditation through the coordinated movement of breath (Vinyasa), mental or visual focus (Drishti) and the energetic locks (Bandha).
Ashtanga Yoga means eight limbed yoga as defined by sage Patanjali in the "Yoga Sutras”. It means internal purification of your mind and soul and understanding yourself. It constitutes eight spiritual practices:
The class begins with sun salutations, standing poses and then ends with the closing series. There are total 27 postures in the primary series but students need to perform total 67 asanas in one or two-hour class after attaining vinyasas. The beginners and senior practitioners can gain extensively from Ashtanga.

Hatha Yoga 07:00 AM - 08:30 AM
It is a classical form of yogic poses and breathing techniques. While performing Hatha you will feel you are flowing in rhythm. These are done at a faster pace as there are many postures to be learned and performed.
As explained by Sadguru, Hatha yoga prepares you to reach the higher level of yoga. In Hatha, “ha” means sun, and “ta” means moon, this means the yogic poses that balance the sun and moon inside you, or you can also say the Pingala and Ida inside you. You can study Hatha yoga to overcome your limitations and prepare your physical body to attain higher level of possibilities.
You can also term Hatha Yoga as a moving meditation, and the best process to discipline and purify your body. It increases level of concentration, make you more focused, give strength to the body, helps in detoxification while providing complete relaxation to the body and mind and increase your energy level.
The class is best for the students who have just begun to learn Yoga. Modifications and variations will be provided for the postures that seem difficult to perform.
